Bryce was our leading rebounder... the Old @$$ official was worse then Eddie this game.
That old, bald ref with the big hook nose is terrible.

He is calling fouls when he is 40 feet from said foul.

He called the charge on macabe and I was in row 20 looking right at the action and macabe was past that player. The player was to macabes side so I am not sure how that can be a charge.

A lot of charge/block calls can go either way. The problem I had with this ref is that he was making calls that weren't his. That is what is pathetic.

That is exactly my point about him making calls 40 feet away from him.

the other ref who is not hightower seemed to be pretty good at not making overly touchy calls then letting football moves go with no calls.

Hook nose ref would call a touch foul then let someone climb all over gatens.

poor consistency

Marble. He looked like a freshman playing for the first time

Just for the record, when marble banged his elbow he lost feeling in 2 or 3 fingers and it stayed that way the whole game. It was his non shooting hand, but it is still an injury that is very hard to play with. I remember in HS baseball getting hit by a pitch and my last two fingers going numb. I went to pitch the next inning and my first warm up pitch hit the top of the backstop halfway to the dugout.

Bryce would laugh at you for getting a free education, while you didn't.

Actually I did. Nice try though. Athletic scholarship paid all 4 years.

Why are you getting so defensive anyway? I simply answered the op's question. I've also made my thoughts on Bryce known on this site per season. I've never been a fan of his game. So I'm not piling on him now, I've always piled on him;)

Our guard play in general after the 10 minute mark of the first half. Against the 1-3-1, where's the one place where the defense will just about never extend out to trap you? The corner on the baseline. Which is why you're supposed to work to get the ball down there as quickly as possible, because that's the position that gives you the most options. What do we do? We pass back and forth up top, which is the "kill box" of the 1-3-1. And we got killed.

Marble was by far the worst today. Cartwright was a huge reason we got the 15 point lead in the first half. At one point with the lead Bryce did have a crappy TO, then Fran yanked him and put Marble back in and Marble turned the ball over left and right. Cartwright at least provided some dribble penetration, all Marble did was lob balls over the top - Bryce got better against the 1-3-1 and Marble looked just as bad as the first time.

Simple fact of the matter is that Iowa needs a real point guard, and that PG looks something like this:
