Fran said there is a good shot he uses the last scholly. Which position do you think he is going to use it on?
 
From the reviews on how much work Woodbury needs it sounds like Fran better go out and get another big man.

If fran can find an awesome point guard them get him but they are probably all locked up and offered.

If that is the case and no great point guard available then a stud big man.
 
My sources tell me he will use it on a big guy, guard or wing. These guys are usually pretty dead on, so take it for what it's worth.

We have already signed two point guards.
 
Fran did say the other day in I believe the presser that there was a good chance the would use the last scholly on a wing player. Now, Fran might not know what Fran is thinking, but I think Fran is a fairly good source at this point. But, he could be wrong.
 
Fran said on his call in show a couple of weeks ago that there is a chance of getting a hi-profile transfer.
 
you mean we can do better than a top 50 center and a top 100 pg, who are these super players?
as for wing Player there is Anton Wilson 6'5 #147 on Rivals , can play the 1, 2 and 3, currently the highest rated recruit on the board for 2012 that is out there

We have more pressing needs than taking Wilson. Wilson is a great shooter but is not the type of athletic wing Fran is looking for with the one remaining scholly.
 
if he takes a transfer he will be of no use to us next season, so there is no reason to use the scholly on a transfer.
besides you really think Fran is going to say he is done with recruiting, with a little over a month to go

Unless it is a player who has graduated and has one year of eligibility left then he can transfer and play immediately if his original school does not offer a degree in his area of post-graduate study.
 
the only Juco i have heard about is 6'3 Spearman. and he does not have a offer.
who has seen video of Wilson to declare him not athletic enough to play the wing
May is 6'5 and is pretty athletic when healthy.
so again i will go with Wilson at 6'5 and has the ability to play 3 positions,
now who have you got that can do better?

I have seen plenty of video on Wilson. In every one, it is pretty much 3 straight minutes of him hitting spot up 3-pointers. When he does attack the rim he is not very explosive in getting there. No more explosive or athletic than a Josh Oglesby.

May is a freak athlete. He is more athletic than 80 percent of college basketball players. However, saying that Wilson is a good athlete just because he is as tall as Eric May is honestly one of the most ridiculous things I've seen on this website.

Not saying Wilson isn't a good player. I'm just saying we don't have a pressing need for his skill set and we could be better served going after someone else.

like i said if you know someone that fits this super human BB player tell me his name, because i would love to know who it is.

Who is looking for a superhuman basketball player? Iowa needs someone that can take his man off the dribble and create a shot for himself or for a teammate. There are better players for that role than Anton Wilson. Who they are? I have no idea, I am not recruiting for Iowa. But I can guarantee you they are out there and that Fran and staff are looking to find them.
