Which walk-ons will get schollies next year?

Iowa has 29 seniors. Wegher is off scholarship. Hampton is off scholarship. While I don't think all 29 seniors are on scholarship, we will still be replacing somewhere around 28-30 scholarships next year, and we won't use all of them on recruits. Will we elevate walk-ons to scholarship status? If so, who will it be? I could see Meyer getting one for his work at kicker.

Not sure Jumper...Meyer would be a good guess, but there are 2 other kickers already on scholly, unless one or both decides to leave, I don't know if it's guaranteed...there's also another in-state kicker on the radar as well. And I'd hate to think they'd just had out schollies to walk-ons just because they have more than they can use this year.

I generally think they give scholarships to walk-ons who earn it. I can see the justification in Meyer having "earned it" this season.

I'd say he's earned it as well...but most teams also don't waste more than one scholly on place kickers, some don't even put them on scholarship without them first walking on to earn their spot.
