When you get out worked by Penn State there is a problem

Totally embarassing loss and no excuse to come out so flat. These kids ****** down their legs and showed us they still lack heart. Penn State wanted it more and it showed. That was some **** poor basketball from a group that looked uninterested most of the game.
 
I'm putting this on the kids. I wish I could name names in terms of guys looking like they didn't care but I would get banned.
 
White was pretty pumped up today. It looked more like they thought they could just come and put there jersey's out there and it was going to be enough. When they actually got confronted by a team that came to play, they folded like the tent we knew they were. Frustrating but not surprising.

Look, I hate Penn State as much as the rest of you, but they're not as bad as some of you are suggesting. They lost a lot of close games this year against good Big10 opponents. Newbill is a really talented player, and their big man Jordan Dickerson is way more athletic than Woodbury.

White and Uthoff did their job today for the most part. Everyone else played extremely poorly, and it's mainly the inconsistent guard play that is really hurting this team. I'd like to say that Jok is sort of the missing piece here. White and Uthoff always do their job but when Jok plays somewhat decently we usually win.
 
I would agree, Foolish Fellow, about the guard play. I have noticed the last few games, even in victory, that Gabe and Woody look awfully soft under the basket and have missed a bunch of bunnies. Earlier, we were essentially getting a double double out of our 2 headed centers. Lately, it seems, their offense has gone away. Granted, we got solid defense, including some great blocked shots on the defensive end. But, we cannot afford to give away any offensive punch on the inside from our two centers.
 
Yeah it sucked losing the PSU to take an early exit from the BIG tourney. I would rather have been the 6. Ifigured that either Nebby or PSu could be a dangerous team. PSU playing for a shot at the NIT. My bigger concern is how this affects our NCAA seed. The announcers seemed to think we were a 6 despite how we did in the tourney unless we won it .We all know there was no fricking way we were going to win that tourney. So will we now get penalized and drop to the dreaded 8 seed?

I got banned last season for calling kids out after they lost to Northwestern in the BTT. That's a big No No here to call out kids by name.

With that being said everyone outside of White and Utoff (sans his last shot), played like they didn't give a rip today. No urgency, no focus, and no confidence.

I'm sick of playing like crap in the Big Ten Tournament and it's a trend.

I was banned a few years back for simply suggesting to Keenan Davis that he catch the ball during our bowl game with Oklahoma.

They shot 26% from the field. Not sure that's getting "out worked", but it is getting "out shot". They collectively stunk today shooting the basketball. Anything remotely close to their normal shooting percentage and they win. It just happened at a really bad time. I'm just frustrated with it happening at a really bad time.
