not trying to be picky either, but please define a deep pass. he's completed several in the 20+ range the last several weeks, but not as many in the 40+ range. part of that's due to his health, but also due to the weather getting tough in november.
it's a credit to beathard that he's kept the passing game viable since he's been banged up. he may not be completing the downfield pass with accuracy, but he still gives it a go periodically, and does a great job at using the entire field so teams cant just play press coverage.
to complete those passes he needs receivers who dont slow down on routes and look for the pass. Come on lets not get on CJ for anything as the team is 12-0 and his many scrambles for first downs are invaluable.
