Wisonsin fourth and forever down points__ Fake punt no one sees it coming.
Eastern Illinois fourth and forever down_ Fake punt no one sees it coming.
PSU fake field goal _ no one sees it coming
Minnesota_ onside kick- no one sees it coming

This my freinds is more than a trend. It is equal to either stupidity or laziness. What do yo u think.
 
A majority of our special teams have been terrible for a couple years now. Both coaching and execution.
 
Wasn't the special teams coach we have on staff fired from Wisconsin because of their very poor specials team's play a few years back?

The only stupidity and and laziness (yours) is the fact that you didn't realize Northwestern onside kicked against us...and McNutt nearly ran it back.

SO to answer your question. It has been about 14 days since we responded well to a "fake anything"

The McNutt onside recoveries were obvious onside kick situations and not fakes

Were NW's onside kicks fakes or were they completely expected given the game situation?
 
Your statement is fact. However I would not define those as fake since they lined up in onside kick formation, which allowed us to set up for the onside return. SO NOT FAKE! Looks like your attempt to make my post look bad ended up making yourself look foolish. Don't worry happens to all of us. Maybe next time you will take a second and realize your not really mad at me at all.

Um yeah speaking of stupid, down 14 with under 5 minutes to go and trying an onside kick isn't exactly running a fake.
 
And to answer the OP's question I believe it was in 09 when ISU kicked a FG to go up 3-0 in the 1st quarter they tried an onside kick that didn't work.

Were we expecting it? How do you define fake then? I think you are making my point for me here. I was sitting there with a friend, saying watch the onside. MN kicker makes obvious high kick leg motion and catches us with out pants down. So as far as our coaches were concerned this was a fake. Right? Obviously I am the stupid one here though. Perhaps I should have used a different word if you like, perhaps unaware. Guy who answered Orange bowl, Thank you.

I am making a point for you. I was saying the two against NW were expected so they weren't really fakes and especially with the way they lined up you knew it was coming.
