Norm's not going to retire. Here's why:
1. If he was, he'd have done it last year (amputation, miss most of the season, "year from hell" according to Kirk). Why would he retire now if he came back for this year?
2. All he has to do is show up for games. No recruiting makes it much easier for him to stay around. He only has to leave IC on away games.
3. Kirk has said on numerous occasions that retiring is up to Norm, not influenced by Kirk. Kirk would never force him out, ever.
The only way he retires is if he says to himself that he just can't do it anymore. I personally feel his limitations really hurt the team thru lack of recruiting and not coaching positions anymore (he used to coach the LBs, and they were great BTW).
