What The Hell??? I'm a PO'd Laker Fan Tonight...

I too am po'd lakers fan. Shows just how corrupt the NBA has become and how the owners control everything. Sure the heat Celtics and Knicks can grab a creat a big three, but the lakers can't? This is absolute BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes I do HawkeyeNTexas...and I can't understand why they would let the team negotiate the trade and THEN step in and say "you know what...no"...they had to know that deal was in the works before...and if the NBA doesn't want players leaving crappy teams and crappy cities, don't have crappy teams in crappy cities!

I can't decide if I'm more upset about the refs from the Iowa-UNI game on Tuesday or the David Stern for pulling this BS tonight. Unbelievable.

wasn't part of the new deal to keep owners from creating a big 3 by forcing teams to trade instead of going to free agency? I actually agree with this. I am unbiased here and really could care less. they are trying to keep a competitive balance which is good for business. I understand your frustration but this seems like the right thing to do. if there was no lockout it probably would have happened.

This is actually a good deal for the Hornets. This trade got vetoed because other owners got pizzed. Its like a fantasy football league where a trade that helps both teams and the other owners complain to the commish to veto it. This is bizarre

NO wont get a better deal

The right thing to do would have been to tell the president of the Hornets not to negotiate a trade instead of letting him negotiate and complete a trade deal AND THEN squash the deal. That's what bothers me about this.

That doesn't make sense if that's what the NBA wants...the Heat's Big3 were created by free agency and not by trades...the Lakers are trading for a player and giving good compensation for that player (along with Houston) and if the NBA is looking to make Paul leave via free agency, then New Orleans gets nothing in return...it makes no sense.

"Who’s going to pull the button on it? When Chris [Paul] says he has to be traded, how’s that going to go? … Someone’s going to have to make a very nonjudgmental decision on that part that’s not going to irritate anyone else in the league."

I love me some Big Chief Triangle...but how does one "pull" a button???:D

As a Knicks fan I don't understand how Stern let the talks even go on. He had to know the owners would be p!ssed. Stern sucks as much as it pains me to say the Hornets wouldn't have got a better offer.

We were in line to get Chandler, now will Knicks wait and see? Chauncey has already gone home to Denver so that forces our hand a bit.

How would you like to be Pau and Lamar reporting to Camp tomorrow?

Cp3's tweet was "wow" that sums it all up.

I was just looking forward to Kloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom's money driven marriage to end due to the fact that Kloe wouldn't want to live in New Orleans.

If it's such an even trade, then why are you this "PO'd"? You should be indifferent in that case. The Lakers were getting one of the top players in the league, and at the same time dumping salary. Trades don't get shut down for no reason.
