What loss other than Iowa hurt you the most?

Any sport, any year, any other team besides Iowa.

I have to go with Drake losing in the NCAA tournament to Western Kentucky. Heartbreaking.

The Packers loss to the Broncos in the Superbowl when the Packers were going for Back to Back Superbowls. I contend to this day that game was rigged to get Elway a Superbowl......

The "Bartman Game"...and yes, I know he wasn't the real reason for the loss, so save it...but that game will forever be known by his name. Anyway, I truly thought that it was going to be a World Series for the Cubs and that loss crushed me.

Edit: Close 2nd...Cowboys beating the Steelers in the SuperBowl when Neil O'Donnell decided he wanted to be the Cowboys MVP...he personally saw to it that Larry Brown, the most overrated SuperBowl hero EVER, got millions from bumbling idiot Al Davis as the Raiders gladly overpaid him as a free agent following that season...

The 1996 World Series, the Braves take the first 2 at Yankee Stadium then proceed to lose the next 4. A close runner-up would be the 91 series between the Braves and Twins, I still hate Kent Hrbek to this day for pulling Ron Gant off first base in game 6 that the Braves should have won.

He got the first 2 outs just fine, then all of a sudden he couldn't get anyone out. Then Alex Gonzalez couldn't turn a routine double play.

I think a lot of that had to do with bullpen being burned out as welll; they

A. Weren't very good, and
B. Had pitched a lot of innings up to that point.

As bad as that game 6 was, nobody seems to remember that the Cubs had a 4-0 lead after the first inning in game 1 with Z on the mound, and he gave up 3 home runs in that game after only giving up 4 during the entire regular season.

Touche :p

2003 Cubs VS the Marlins and TOs last second winning TD catch against the packers in 1998. Both absolutely wreaked me for at least a week.

2003 Cubs loss to Marlins. Still getting over it. I wrote an email to some friends just before the Bartman play (just using as a reference, not an excuse) saying the Cubs were going to do it. My friends still reference this and (properly) blame me. Game 7 looked good when Wood hit his HR, then the roof fell in (again). Now, I am going to cry myself to sleep.

I have two.

1998 NFC Championship Game- Vikings/Falcons

2003 Playoffs- Cubs/Marlins "The Bartman Game"

Dirty Birds! & Timmy D! I hate the Viqueens

the Cubs do make me cry, though :(

The Bears losing the Super Bowl to the Colts hurt, but not as much as the Cubs NLCS loss
