What is the record for fewest points scored during...

We scored 43 against MSU in '08 (the prior shot clock era low). We scored 42 against NW back in Ravelings first year which was 2 years before the shot clock was instituted.

Well done coach, you've set another record at Iowa. If Lick sticks around much longer he is going to hold more records than John Johnson, Chris Kingsbury and Acie Earl combined.

In all fairness the 43 points againts MSU was enough for a win

Maybe but here's something to chew on: Iowa has managed to score more than 80 ONCE in three years under Lickliter...yet we've managed to set record for lowest amount of points in shotclock era TWICE in three years under Lickliter!! These are the types of records Lick is setting here at Iowa, he is earning his $1.6 million!!!

I was half joking-i still find it funny we managed to win that game with only 43 points. The lack of O under lick is definitely a problem

If we are going to look at it... what is the lowest point total a top ten team has ever been held to since the implementation of the shot clock?? have a feeling that same '08 game has another record in it.

It seemed like we had scored only 40 at Drake last year, but I looked it up and the final was 60-43. I don't remember an Iowa team ever only scoring in the 30's, so yesterday's game is as low an output as I can remember in my lifetime. It took a last second Neari free-throw to get us out of the 30's yesterday..
