What is the Les Jepsen thread really about?
That is a deep question, and the answers may shock and disturb you.
1. The Jepsen thread mocks all of the message board posters that have heard from their friend's cousin's secretary that Coach X was interviewed and offered the job, but turned it down.
2. The Jepsen thread mocks all of the names that have been thrown around (including the thread that it parodies: "Don't dismiss the BJ Armstrong discussion" --sorry Jon). If Barta is seriously considering some of the names that have been posted, then why not Les Jespen, with Brad Lohaus as an assistant?
3. But the Jepsen thread goes deeper, into the tragedy that was the last three years of Iowa basketball.
4. The most shocking thing: Right now, the Jepsen thread seems to be just as credible as most of the other threads about Coach X, Y, or Z on this board. And it probably will be until Barta holds a press conference, or Haddy lets something slip about when Steve Forbes will be arriving in the Eastern Iowa Airport to sign a contract.
People need to chill out and enjoy the ride.
