What happens next year?

In case you haven't noticed, we get OSU and Wisky back on the schedule next year. At absolute best I see us getting to 7-5 this year and that is far from being certainly attainable. Next year we lose Indiana and PSU and add OSU and Wisky. That goes from 2 games we should win to two games we will lose. We are going to have to pull an upset somewhere to even get to 7 wins next year, I see sure losses to MSU, OSU, Wisconsin, Mich, and Nebraska. I should pencil ISU in as a loss considering they have won 2 straight and the game is in Trice next year. I sadly see must win games against Northwestern and Purdue as the only way to being bowl eligible.

At least you continue to play 4 non conference games.... that should continue to help get you to 6 wins.

We will struggle to get to 6 wins the next two years. Maybe 2014 will be our year to get back to the standard 7-8 wins

I wouldn't give the edge to anyone next year too quickly. This is a young team and next year they could be a spoiler against one or more of the favorites; Wisky/OSU/MSU/NB. I also wouldn't put Michigan in with the fav's yet either.

Iowa may have 17-18 starters coming back next year. And they might have one of the larger OL and DL's in the conference. Iowa will take some lumps this year, but next year should be a different story. Not necessarily in the number of wins, but in the quality of football Iowa is playing.
