What happend to our Run Game? And 4 straight Sacks. Really?

It has been Iowa's staple to run the ball and setup play action. But last night all I saw was an onslaught and every time we ran the ball we were caught in the backfield it seems like nearly EVERY TIME.WHY? Is our line the problem? And they other thing I'm upset with is Stanzi's poor play during our last drive in the 4th quarter. EVERY D@MN PLAY STANZI WAS SACKED. He didn't even have the right mindset to even just chuck the ball up there for a prayer and hope a receiver could come down with the ball. Im upset with the whole team and we need to correct mistakes and learn how to pickup the Blitz. And Yes I know, the downfall of the team this season was special teams where Rivals.com had our Special Teams # 1 in the nation.

That last play 4 and 25 he saw the safety creep up for the blitz and he didn't even attempt to get rid of the ball and went down. The point is we didn't show up until the 2nd half of the game.

Calm down and read some of the analysis of some of the others on this board. That's what I did and it helped me both understand what happened last night and to get some perspective. I'm not being a smartass - any diehard hawk fan should and would be upset but it is not as bad as it seems. The defense played well, the offense was in a horrible situation and damn near pulled it out, and special teams can be improved quickly. As much as anything last night was just a perfect storm of crap a real bag of dicks. Things will improve.
