What do you expect to happen in off season?

a) Nothing - business as usual
b) Staff change departures / new coaches
c) KF resigns and negotates favorable terms of departure

I'll say a) nothing. KF will retain the staff he has and stay the course, work hard and hope things imporve. And we'll have lots to talk about. Jon will sell a lot of ad space as the forum explodes.

Only potential staff change could be Reese Morgan. Heard a rumor much earlier in the season that he was planning to retire. That would be too bad as he has been an excellent coach here for several years now, but he is definitely getting up their in age.

also read the rumor about Morgan - so IMO if he were to leave that wouldn't qualify as (b)

so I will go with (a)

Standing in the rain and hoping for a break in the weather; when the sun comes out you're a genius football coach, again

I am going to say, "none of the above." I know there has been a lot of Barta bashing over KF's contract. However, he is still KF's boss and, I believe, no dummy. Barta knows that it is his responsibility to ensure the success of the football program. He is the one who has to face off, in private, with the big donors and the U. administration. IF the lack of success this year is judged to be predominantly due to lack of player ability, I don't think we will see a lot of changes. If, however, that is only part of the problem, Barta is smart enough to know that he will have to press KF into coaching changes, scheme changes, essentially, whatever it takes. Even though we have become a country that focuses attention on blame and very little commitment to change, I don't think that will be the case with the football program. Just my opinion. And, just to anticipate a comment: If anyone thinks Barta is afraid of KF and therefore will not criticize him (in private, as personnel issues should be), then you are pretty naive to the ways of the business world.

It's A. I would love to see GD leave. I don't think his system will ever work here because Iowa doesn't have the athletes to make it work, but it's not going to happen. FYI, even Marvin McNutt would have struggled in this system that relies on catch/run/break tackles and elusiveness.
