White Lightning is kicking some *** and taking some names. Love the way this team plays and really look forward to watching the rest of the season.

We are probably going to take some lumps here and there but believe it or not we are going to contend for post-season play.

Amen! When was the last time you can remember seeing an Iowa team noticeably improve like this team has? Or more importantly, when was the last time you recall the coaching staff seeing a deficiency, making adjustments, and teaching the game of basketball in a way that brought about visible changes in the team's play on the court?

I just know it's been a long, long time.

Good post VAHawk. We have been missing this whole coaching thing in IC for quite a few years. I am amazed at the difference in defensive tenacity. The first few games we barely contested shots and dribble penetration. Now it's like we are playing with 7 guys.

I'm loving the way we are competing, holding our own and getting production at both ends of the court. Not one player was a disappointment tonight and Fran played the matchups to perfection.

This team is going to continue to build confidence as we move forward throughout the season and if the cards fall just right for us in the Big10 tourny, I could see us possibly making a run into the NCAAs.....

That doesn't mean I think we are guaranteed a spot in post-season play, but it just shows that having the right coach on board, coupled with players that can listen and learn as the season progresses, we have a legit shot in each and every game.
