We've got a chance against MSU...

We've got a 30% chance of getting by NW again and if we do that our chances go to 0% against MSU on a neutral floor. The kids and coaches can't figure it out isn't that obvious by the myriad of defensive breakdowns against Illinois this past weekend. We should be sitting 3 or 4 in the B10 tournament it's been a collosal collapse of coaching and big play when you need it by the kids. Really a disappointment.

If those are the names of officials I'm going to disagree. MSU beat us by probably close to 20, if they hadn't been ******* around with putting seniors in.

God you suck! Must be a troll because if you're a fan I want to kick you in the junk

If the refs are paid off again to give the game to msu then Iowa must win by 10 or more to put it out of range. 10 points seems to be what it takes to overcome the calls in the Big 10. 7 point wins have happened twice too but that is not as sure.

We do need to beat Northwestern first...no I am not a troll. Right now with this team we need just win a game and not worry about games down the road.

I want to see them run up the score on the mildcats. That is the message to be sent that this team won't put up with this garbage anymore. Instead they come out to dominate.

Iowa steamrolls the cats. 4 solid halves of beatdowns so far this year against NW. What makes you think it won't continue?

No, bro, we have a 30% chance of losing to NW I'd say. That's taking into account the two 26 point beat downs we've given them as well as our late season meltdown. I hope Fran and the staff are coaching them up on the fundamentals cause that's what's been lacking the last six games.

Iowa had a 14 point lead in the 2nd half against them in the BTT last year IIRC.. So Iowa needs to build at least a 20 point lead in order to have a shot at winning, if Ted V is officiating.

jNW says "hello".

This is not a gimme by any means. jNW is playing for their BB lives and will have a ton of confidence.

I agree NW is not a gimme. On the flipside, I don't know how much confidence they can have playing a team that whipped them pretty good by 26 pts both times plus they are coming off their last game where they scored a whopping 32 points for the entire game. That's even below Lickliter standards.

Bottom line is that it's a game featuring teams that don't have a lot of confidence right now. A win by us will hopefully give us a shot of confidence that we desparately need and then they will look at the MSU game as a means for a little redemption.

But I stand by the intent of my original post that we stand absolutely no chance if any of the 5 bozos I mentioned earlier (Borowski, Seratore, Eades, Sanzere or Valentine) are anywhere near that game.

Accroding to Teamrankings.com Iowa has 91% win probability vs NW, a 45% win probability vs Sparty, and a 15% BTT win, of note is than the win % is even split among 5 teams with No team having greater than 21% win probability and Nebraska having only. 1.4% win chance.

Iowa has an almost 50/50 shot Vs MSU (who has only 18% BTT win chance.) so this game comes down to wire, again.

What is Teamrankings smoking? So Iowa, who is playing just horrific basketball over the past 3 weeks and would have to win 4 games in 4 days and would have to beat two teams they are 0-4 against just to get to the final, has a 15% BTT win rate but Nebby, who is hotter than anyone and has a first round bye, has a 1.4% win rate? These supposed stats are an insult to common sense.
