west coast radio about expansion, next 2 hrs

Dennis Dodd: Mountain West no longer interested in Boise State, because Iowa State, Kansas, K. State and Baylor appear most likely available and "all of those schools would trump anything Boise State offers."

... If the expansion to 16 w/ the 6 big 12 schools falls through, Dodd thinks the Pac-10 would just sit w/ 10 rather than settling for going to 12 w/ Utah and Colorado.
(seems hard to believe)

Not when you factor in Fox. They are not interested in a West Coast only television network. They would then try to create a combo package of Pac Ten and Big 12.

That is actually how this whole conversation with Fox was brought up. However, when they started to figure out value they realized that some schools couldn't really carry their own weight.

You can go on all you want (as you seem to be doing, in every post) about FOX, but last I checked, FOX still isn't a Pac-10 or Big 12 school.

Fox is about a 50% partner with both the Big Ten Network and will be with the proposed new conference network. While the BTN makes 22 Million for each of the 11 Big Ten schools, consider the fact that Fox makes over 200 million themselves. Also, consider that the proposed Pac Ten / B12 network actually has a considerably bigger potential population than the Big Ten network.

Adding the additional BTN schools and the PAC Ten/B12 network easily has the potential to be worth about a billion dollars for Fox. If you don't think they have a hand in this working out as they want it, you are really naive.
