IU cant win one game to help us, stupid foul on MSU with 2 seconds left but yogi misses the second. Does that hurt the double bye?

No...............just go for Illinois or OSU to get wins against Purdue or Wisconsin and Iowa will get a double bye.

So Yogi is 10-11 on thr day from the line, and he gags it away. *ucking MSU is sooooo lucky.

If Purdue wins, we need osu to win and we are 4 seed, basically same standings as it was going into the weekend, correct, since all 4 teams tied would all have won?

An Ohio State win and Purdue win brings in a different set of tiebreakers that gives Iowa the 4 seed.

If Purdue wins, it doesn't matter what Ohio State does.

If Purdue wins, these are the Top 4 seeds:

Wisconsin 16-2 or 15-3 #1 seed
Maryland 13-5 or 14-4 #2 seed
Michigan St 12-6 (tiebreaker over Iowa and Purdue) #3 seed
Purdue 12-6 (tiebreaker over Iowa) #4 seed

Again, what am I missing? Why would the outcome of the Ohio State game make a difference if Purdue wins? And if Purdue loses, Iowa gets the #4 seed anyway, regardless of the outcome of the Ohio State game, right?

If Purdue & Ohio St win it will be a 4 way tie for 3rd place between Ohio St, Iowa, MSU, & Purdue. Tiebreak procedures for ties between 3 or more teams are different than if its just 2 teams tied. The first tiebreaker is record of the tied teams against one another and would look like this:

MSU 3-0 (wins @Iowa, Ohio St, & Purdue)
Iowa 2-2 (wins against OSU, losses to MSU & Purdue)
Purdue 2-2 (wins against Iowa & OSU & losses to MSU & OSU)
Ohio St 1-4 (win against Purdue, losses to Iowa, Purdue & MSU)

So MSU gets the 3, Ohio St gets the 6. Iowa & Purdue still tied & go to the next tiebreaker which is record against the 1st place team. Both teams are 0-fer against Wisconsin. then it goes to the 2nd place team which is Maryland. Iowa is 1-0 & Purdue is 0-1. Iowa gets the 4 seed, Purdue 5.

And yes, if Purdue loses, Iowa has the 4 seed locked down. Purdue will be a full game behind them and Ohio St could tie Iowa but their tiebreak procedures would only be for 2 tied teams and that is head to head which Iowa wins over Ohio St.

Purdue is losing by 5 at halftime, but have come back from a 13 point deficit and seem to have the momentum.
