Its about this time every year, I dust of my packet of canned article templates about college football. I usually reach for "this team is searching for an identity" just before week two. Then I go to "this team is at a crossroads" after the first loss.

biggest surprise, and relief, was how well the db's played. Also, 3 td passes. Can clownville be so sure iowa will run it 40x today? that's the beauty of the forward pass, my friends.

I'm not so sure how good our safety play was last week...the corners pretty damn good. ISU will challenge our safeties today...expect alot of stuff in the middle of the field.. I did think Gervase impressed me with his tackling. The play he made taking on the block, shedding it, and still making the tackle for loss was absolutely text book and very, very impressive.

Hey guys, I just want to let you know I had a whole shelf full of "Josh Allen is a great quarterback" takes ready to share after week one. Think of things like "Is Josh Allen the best quarterback in College Football History?" and "Will Josh Allen be the number 1 pick in the NFL Draft?".

They probably are. However Wyoming is an unknown as the last a lot of talent and missing #1 receiver. ISU is certainly an unknown.

I do think the 2ndary will play tighter than w King who was a pick master but not lock down. Picks snd lock down arent necessarily synonymous.
