how do you think we should use them? Seems a couple months ago everyone agreed that we were going to bring in a PG and a Center. But some recent offers makes it seem like that isnt definite.

I think we should bring in a PG for sure and the best available player we can get.

I would like to see a pg such as Cez, and a big for sure. Bit if Fran wants to get 3 guys and ask Archie to graduate early(being his 4th colliegate year) I would say pg, slasher, big.

We need a big guy. We have Archie and Brommer this year but if we don't recruit anyone we will be looking at bringing in a 5 to start as a true freshman.

I really don't like the idea of bringing a big guy in 2012 to start as a true freshman so I would like to see us recruit a big guy. This would be my #1 need.

I would like to bring a PG as the #2 need. I don't expect Cully to be a starting PG in the Big 10. I think he can log some quality minutes as a back up but I think we need somebody to fill the void once Bryce is gone. PG is the most important position in an umptempo offense.

The third option of course is a slasher (2-3). I'm hoping that Marble/May/Ogelsby can provide what we need at this position that we can wait one year to bring in this type of player and focus on the PG and Big.

Hey we did bring in Basabe who started as a true freshman.

Very true but I think it's more diffucult for a young athlete to come in and produce at the 5 spot than any other position. They need to be physically developed. There aren't many athletes that are physically developed that are lined up to play at Iowa.

I really think Fran will try to upgrade wherever he can. He has given everyone a year to prove themselves. If he can upgrade, he will.

I think we def need a big. Anything can happen. Someone could transfer, or get hurt. Archie does have a short history of injuries.

I think we need an 11th man and a guy that can hold the water bottle during timeouts.

sorry mr. 12345... i just noticed that in ever separate thread about a recruit/offers everyone puts in their .02 cents about what we need. figured itll be nice to have one thread dedicated to that.

If their was another thread specifically for this cause. i apologize for cluttering your board

If we could nab Guerrero and Olaseni that would round out a pretty good class. Lots of talent and upside to go along with Basabe and Marble for the upcoming years.

Yes I've heard of Miller and noticed his speed and ability to score. But I wonder why he has gotten little attention? Is he just an un-noticed guy like what we see with our fb recruits sometimes or what?

Has not qualified yet. Also he didnt come out until this year. He didnt play varsity until last year and only averaged about 15ppg.

Aah okay that makes more sense. Do you think he will end up here?

If it was up to him Yes, but since we're waiting for Cezar, hubbard, and for him to qualify the chances of him coming are slim. He may be able to take the juco or prep route, but he really is interested in coming.

This really seems like the guy who is ideal for Iowa's climb. Really seems like another Basabe, or Kenny Hasbrouk.
