Way too early bracketology

If that happens Des Moines will be absolutely crazy that week. I have plans to travel to wherever the Hawkeyes go, so this would be cool.

What would be needed for a 2 seed? 14-4 conference record? Probably a berth at least in the B10 Tourney Championship as well?

I went into this season expecting an NCAA bid, prollly in the 7-10 seed range. I think our ceiling is up to at least a 5 now. 2 seed is dreamland territory for me, lots of tough games remaining, starting tomorrow vs Michigan.

If we win tomorrow i think that's 5 top 50 rpi wins so far. This team can do a lot of things. I hope they sustain intensity for tomorrow because of they do i really think it's between us and Maryland

Barring a 2014-esque implosion, it's fair to say it's already between Hawks and Maryland. Iowa's January schedule was (is) brutal but is already winding down as MSU's, Indy's, Maryland's (and OSU's, Michigan's) are just ramping up. A win tomorrow and Hawks would have to try to not win 14, which I think is the over / under bar to get 1st place.

Yep, I've seen too many melt downs from past Hawkeye teams to feel very comfortable making any assumptions, but if the team stays focused, I think a top 2-3 NCAA seed seems pretty realistic. Iowa has played the bulk of the nastiest part of it's schedule.

Iowa has proven they can do it. Now the next step is to sustain it.
