Way to Early predictions for next year

Like this year, in 2015 the schedule sets up pretty nice for the Hawks but I guesa I shouldn't say that with the result for this year. Here are some of my predictions -They open up with a scary close win against a tough FCS team in Illinois state. - They go 4-0 in non conference play -They beat wisconsin but have a hangover affect against Illinois and they sit at 5-1.-They travel too northwester and beat (6-1)them easily. -They lose to Maryland (6-2) and then go on a 3 game win streak (9-2) the drop the Black Friday game to Nebraska and finish the season (9-3)Chuck long will be the OC for this season Rudock throws for outstanding numbers and then we begin to talk about CJ starting in 2016 and a big ten championship.

1. KF almost never goes perfect in the OOC (only 3 times in 16 years). 2. Tom Arnold is more likely to be Iowa's OC next year than Chuck Long is. 3. I'll bet my season tickets for the next decade that Iowa goes 7-5 again.

This is unbelievable...perhaps the most damning piece of data in the case against KFz.

I think we are going to need to find a way to win 3 out of 4 non conference games just to get to 6 or 7 wins. I will go with 7-5, but I could see it being worse. The only thing I know for sure is that we will lose to a team we have no business losing to.

It looks loke I did the best case for the Hawks! Seems like majority think 7-5, just would like to know why?

Who do you think we lose too? ISU? Pitt? NT? Ames?

3 of those 4 will have excellent chances to beat Iowa. The 4th is coached by Dan McCarney (6-6 all-time against Iowa) and could very possibly have a starting QB from Iowa City High. They will not roll over and play dead against us.

Illinois State is having a hecka season (11-1) and still playing. I have no idea who they have coming back, but wouldn't be surprised to see them beat Iowa.

I believe they are returning a lot from that team, including their QB Tre Roberson who I believe came into Kinnick and beat us in 2012 as a true freshman.

You definitely have to put this as a toss up game right now. Iowa starts slow more than it comes out running. We have a lot more questions marks on this team next year than we do from this year.

And for the OP, I think it's a good guess that CJB will not be on this team for 2015. I have never seen a coach go more out of his way to deflect praise to CJ (example, every time CJ is brought up, Jake is too). All CJ did for us is score TD's at a better clip than Jake. His reward, ride the bench.

He's gone.

As for next year record, It's a KF program....7 wins.

His freshman year was 2011 and they came into Kinnick and got pounded. He was the starting QB. We lost to them in Bloomington the next year but he had already suffered a season-ending injury prior to the game.

Either that or a Bowl Championship, whichever comes first right?
At the end of the day, that's what the goal is, some sort of championship. A Detroit bowl championship win = successful season.

I honestly can't believe some of the garbage they try to sell Hawk fans lately.

If he doesn't at least go 10-2 with next years schedule he needs to be gone for sure. That's my minimum. I have 0 confidence that he will either. I would guess his ceiling is 8-4 but leaning towards 7-5 again. He loses way to many OOC games to make 10-2. But hey we were in them all with a chance to win, right Barta!?! BUY DEM SEASON TIX MEOW!

I agree with all except we trade a loss at Illinois State for a victory at NW or Indiana. Still leaves us at 6-6 as my prediction.

"Way too early" is correct. How can you predict a team that can't put two good halves of football together. Yet next year the offense may click and they score a bunch.

And we dont even know if CJ will be around. For what its worth I think we beat ISU and are around 7-5 or 8-4.

I would like to predict at least 9 wins, but I haven't had enough beer yet, so I'll just stick to 6 or maybe 7...Here's mud in your eye....;)
