With Hunts commitment it sure seemed like we backed off of Newsom. I could be wrong, but if I'm right it is neither impressive or relevant.

Weird that I don't even care that Nebraska got this Iowa kid. I think we got the DE's we wanted, and Iowa seems to prefer Fox over Newsome. Losing Heinrich to Nebraska is a much bigger loss than this one

Nope, seen him play. My opinion is he's soft. He's a big guy, but not agile. His dad was or still is the Wartburg track coach. I've seen him play basketball, seemed slow. Anyway , I really don't care if he chose Nebraska over.

Yup and Nebraska is totally desperate for talent on that side of the ball.. Makes sense. Not gonna sweat it. We can't get em all. Kinda like that QB from Council Bluffs. It'd have been great to get him but was he going to beat out the big Cali kid Petras anytime soon in 2 to 4 yrs? Maybe but it'd be a dog fight and what the Cali kid has going for him over Duggan is his size and arm. He's got the leg up on him just being the cookie cutter type of QB KOK and the Ferentzs seem to prefer now. Plus Duggan seemed to want to play in more of a spread throw it all the time type of O compared to a pro style. Sometimes it's fit along with timing and everything else
