it was evident that the Hawkeyes, playing against either team, would win if we played anywhere approaching the level of play against the Spartans--and it wouldn't matter if the game was in Iowa City, or Madison, or Ann Arbor, or the moon.
Simply too much hype about the BT in recent months, to the unfortunate consequence that many of the Hawkeye faithful assume that there has to be vast improvement for Iowa to compete in the BT next year---
When the problems--too small, too inexperienced, too few players--all are reduced to manageable proportions next year with big guys Larsen & Archie added & Cougill healthy; with six guys back who have been starters for at least a year, and with a roster no less than twice as deep with twelve guys able to play at the BT level instead of just five or six.
