Max Cooper stood out on offense. Also see freshmen QBs Peyton Mansell and Spencer Petras in this HN TV video highlights from that side of the ball:

I know you wanted to focus on completions, but will there be a video showing Petras throwing that deep pass down the sideline?

I have it on video but wasn't planning to post it unless you can give me a compelling reason to do so. ;)

No biggie, just thought it was a rather quick release for such a deep pass. Is it too early to start a quarterback controversy? :D

I figured that's where you were going. ;)

He showed some promising things. He also badly overthrew a wide open Nico Ragaini for what would have been an easy touchdown and was sacked at least twice for for holding the ball too long. I thought Mansell looked better last night. Both are considerably behind Stanley, IMO.

I know it is only the highlights, but it was really nice to see the speed the offense attacked at. Stanley looks far more decisive this spring. And he was slinging bullets there.

I was happy to see the zip on Peyton's throws. 89 looks the part and Cooper will give them some decent depth in the slot before he takes it over next year.

OLine fired off hard, but AJ needs to finish plays. Gallery needs to spend 2 days with this kid and teach him the play isn't over until the whistle blows or the man he is blocking is off the field of play.

He's definitely got a ways to go, but that arm ! I agree on Mansell. I was surprised how well he threw while in the pocket.
