never really thought about it, but that is one heck of a matchup for everyday practice. 4 potential NFL talents going at it every single day.
All four of our starting O-line and D-line bookends will be gone after the fall. All underclassmen.never really thought about it, but that is one heck of a matchup for everyday practice. 4 potential NFL talents going at it every single day.
Too bad Hockenson left, could have used another year of development.Wirfs sat out this practice but most days you are correct. And they are all guys that could come out early with good junior seasons.

I like the Detroit uniforms. Hope he has a pro bowl career and Super Bowl win. Break the curse of the Black Hole - Detroit Lions.Yes. It's too bad.
Not worth the risk.I get that you want to keep your QBs healthy.
But a touch gets the whistle?
Let the defense wrap up the QBs before you blow the whistle. I'm not saying drag him to the ground, but a finger graze is a joke imo.
Not worth the risk.
What if he bangs his hand on someone's helmet on his follow through?
What somebody steps on his foot and he twists his ankle or worse?
What if some dumbass doesn't realize the difference between thud and full contact?
There's a very good reason no college or professional program will let you even breathe on the QB in practice anymore. Hell, pro players get fined for it, along with a vicious ass-chewing.
CJ's last year was fucked due to someone being pushed into him, correct? Not worth the risk.

It's not that the chance of injury is higher, it's that the team is more fucked if the #1 QB goes down.Yeah, I knew this was coming. As I said, I know there is a health angle. But then I saw WRs falling to the ground, RBs being tackled, basically everyone else is expendable. Agree to disagree that getting a hand on a QB = permanent injury.
I'd never heard that story. Care to share? I'm sure whoever was at fault got a world class ass reaming.CJ's last year was fucked due to someone being pushed into him, correct?
You're weirdYou're saying he wasn't injured in 2015? Come on dude, you're better than that

Some of the early mocks have Epi and Wirfs in the top ten.Wirfs sat out this practice but most days you are correct. And they are all guys that could come out early with good junior seasons.
Can you declare for the draft, testing the waters, to see the odds on whether you will go to Detroit or not?.
Yep, he'd go higher in the draft with another year
Maybe it’s just me but I think Alaric Jackson has a ways to go, and it’s not just because AJ whooped him pretty good in the open practice (AJ does that to everyone). I recall him getting beat on a few occasions last year. All four of our starting O-line and D-line bookends will be gone after the fall. All underclassmen.

Also wasn’t the story that he had to play LT because he couldn’t play RT, thus forcing Wirfs to play RT?
Alaric Jackson has great size, but I’m not convinced he’s a great football player just yet. I think the potential is certainly there and he could take a big jump forward this year. (He was 2nd team All conference last year so maybe I’m just an idiot).
