Washington over Oregon 90-86...

tonite before a packed house in Seattle.
Oregon did not shoot quite as well away from home,and Washington got to the line 13 more times than the Ducks,making 10 more FTs.

Typical of the home team edge. I think Iowa would beat either team in Carver,but lose to either team on the road. Very evenly matched teams.

So,Washington, regular season winner of the Pac 12 title, gets to adavance to NYC. They do seem more deserving of 2nd place Oregon.

All three teams are talented enough to win a first round game at a neutral site in the NCAA tourny this year...oh well...

That game could have been Northwestern-Iowa if we had played defense and if Shurna-strong was as strong as Persa-strong.

Oregon plays a good up tempo game. You're right about all three being evenly matched on a neutral court with neutral refs. They were held in check and kept under 90 points as they were not hitting all those bombs by the surfer kid.

Minny came out of the chutes last night on a very apathetic Miami team. It will be interesting to see how they fare against Washington if they meet up (I don't know potential pairings).
