Yeah, I kinda thought so too. It was awesome.
I also liked how Metcalf kept pulling Mason back toward the center. And, at the handshake after the match, Mason was fiddling around with his shoe or something, and you could clearly hear an exasperated Metcalf say, "C'mon...," as if to say "hurry up and shake already, jerkass."
Good stuff.

Seeing it in person, Metcalf, to me, looked upset that Mario took him down in the first period. For the rest of the first period, he seemed to me to be going for the fall.
At the handshake I couldn't tell what he said, but I don't think he was happy about the fact that the match ended on a stalling point- he was attempting to turn Mason at the time.
The crowd boo'd Metcalf after the handshake. As they continued to boo, Terry Brands stood up and did some goofy gesture to the crowd- turned around and did it to all four sides of the arena. I don't know what it meant and can't really describe it.

It seemed to me that metcalf was pushing the action way too much. Mason clearly was only interested in running away, and metcalf obviously doesnt like that much. I think that is why he taken down, because he just wanted to push it and stick it to him. I would be ticked off if i was working a guy like that then had it ended on a stalling point.
Argee, Metcalf looked po'ed he got taken down and even more upset it ended on a stalling call. I saw Metcalf sorta wave his hand at the crowd booing him after the match too, that guy is just intense and plays off the crowd

Are we really shocked that Metcalf was toying around in a match. He is very, very rarely even on the same competitive field as most wrestlers. It is great fun for us to watch him...but I can see how others in the nation can despise him so much. When you win the way he does people get angry and really ******. Mostly because he makes it look so easy all the time. He is like the Ndamukong Suh of wrestling. I would be surprised if he loses at all this year(knock on wood).

Then after the match he runs back and works out for another half hour because he didn't have to do much in the match!
