Was Coach Ferentz in favor of Mizzou joining the Big Ten?

That appears to be the case. Thanks HawkPrdatr40 for the previous link from the DJK article, which also included Coach Ferentz's comments about Mizzou:

Ferentz also said he was in favor of Missouri joining the Big Ten Conference, back when much of the expansion talk involved the possibility of MU doing that.
“It made perfect sense from a coach’s standpoint, and geographically,” Ferentz said. “But as you might well imagine I’m way down the food chain when it comes to making decisions like that.
“If anybody asked for my input, I can’t remember it.”

He is just blowing smoke up someone's a$$ because when asked about it from the Iowa media last summer he said something to effect that he has no control over what happens and never mentioned any team he would like to see join. He is kissing up to Mizzou.
