I thought maybe some of you might find this interesting and I know some of you won't. Just remember you were warned.
The men's and women's team both started 2 sophomores 2 freshman and 1 senior.
The men played 2 more games than the women
The men went 18-14 the women went 17-13
The men in conference went 10-8 the women 8-8
The men went 3-7 in away games and the women were 2-8
The men's field goal % was .448 the women .467
The men's 3 point % .371 the women's .313
The men's FT % .700 the women .734
The men's assists were 17.3 per game the women 17.4
The men's turn over's 13.7 per game the women 16.7
The men had 7.5 steals per game and the women 6.8
The men had 3.8 blocks per game the women 3.6
Peter Jok scored 594 points and Megan G. 550
The men scored a total of 2559 points and the women 2269
Both these teams were 1 game away from making the Big Dance. Iowa fans have a lot to look forward to in the next couple of years and I think both will benefit playing in the NIT and WNIT. I hope I did this correct so it doesn't get all jumbled up and you can't read it fairly easy. Sorry in advance if it's a mess. Go Hawks!
