Going into the Nebraska game, Wadley has 862 yards for the season, averaging 4.1 ypc on 211 attempts. Meaning he needs 138 yards total to have back to back 1000 yards seasons.

For his career, he has 2625 yards, averaging 5.3 ypc on 495 attempts.
He is currently 135 yards behind Fred Russel, who had 2760 yards total for 5th place all time on the Iowa all time rushing list.

I am thinking Wadley will have a good day against Nebraska and get 139 yards today to pass both milestones.

Only if he busts one or two.

Truly hope he goes out with a huge day. He has been so stifled by BF and KF, continually having to run into 8 or 9 man fronts.
Doesn't take a genius to figure he's best on the edges with space to cut.
Our coaching staff however, has no grasp on the definition of insanity.

He could have been an excellent receiver this year while still getting 10 or 12 carries out of the backfield.

He and Butler/Young should have been in the game at the same time a lot/ , I mean a lot.

Wadley the perfect safety valve type pass for Nate or stop and go deep or make his cover man turn and run and then stop and come back for an easy 8 yard pass. Too bad. Pretty big waste.

We saw in the ISU, PSU, and a few other times Wyoming, etc where getting him out in space to beat the coverage resulted in huge gains and TDs. Havent seen it much the last few weeks

Have we tried with AW, but covered? I honestly am not sure.

The first few games were great as it looked like he and Nate had the coverage reads down. You remember the TD he had that was called back for high stepping against N Texas? The first few games had multiple receptions where if the cover guy jumped the route Wadley would blow by him and be wide open behind the coverage for some big gains. The late score agaisnt ISU was beautiful and he also beat the linebacker against PSU and in a couple other games.\\

Just not enough in my mind was he used like this. He should of and could have been a decoy in the first four or five games as half the defense was keying on him. BF should have had him in motion etc and used him to set up other big plays. Then when the opponent starts to play Wadley straight up he can burn them

The kid deserves to go have a big day. It's frustrating that they think running the same running plays they used for Mark Weisman should work for him blows my mind. Running him into 9 man fronts to the short side of the field every 1st and 10 just doesn't work. It's almost a waste of a play and they do it 5 to 10 times a game. They needed to be more creative with his touches and it seems like the coaches got lazy with it as the year has gone on. Wadley has played hard and done what he could I don't blame him a bit for his lack of production. To me that's on coaches
