The defense held Northwestern to 10 points in regulation despite Jewell being out with injury last year. I have faith in Phil Parker, We'll be fine.

Likely. Hopefully not a big one early on, as they will improve. The far more pressing question, as almost every year, is will the offense take a step forward.

Well, Mr. Obvious...of course the defense will take a step back this year...I'm guessing on the first series of the first game.

I think that a big reason he was not drafted higher is because of testing, or the Underwear Olympics, as they call it. He plays so fast, is so good at diagnosing plays, and plays so well in traffic, he doesn't need to be a 4.6 guy.

Josey was the steal of the draft in my opinon, not just because I’m an Iowa fan. He’s a player who will be an Urlacher, Greenway type of guy who’ll stick around for a long time and play in a few Pro Bowls. Everything his coaches past and present say about him is how he needs very little instruction and zero encouragement or “pushing,” and that he’s ready to play right away. I think he’ll have a similar experience to George Kittle with how he shot 4 spots up the depth chart as a rookie and now he’s the starter @ TE. Now if we can just find a way for Garoppolo to get hurt so George and CJ can become Montana/Rice 2.0......
