Few things here...
I will be testing out a video player on CONTENT PAGES ONLY. The videos will be mostly what I produce, or partners..so mostly Iowa/Big Ten related. They will have 30 second ad pre-rolls with audio on, and they will play when you read a content item on the site. They WILL NOT be on the forums, where people spend well over 90% of their time.
If this test run is successful, it will allow me to greatly reduce the number of ads on the message boards. I may consider removing the 300x250 third party ads altogether, as those can contain rich media where audio gets through.
Again, the video player will only be on the actual story pages for this test run, not in the forums. Thanks
