Venables leaves OU for Clemson....

defenitely opens the door for Stoops now to go to Oklahoma,
would have really liked Stoops to coach here because of it would have been a outside hire and get new blood and open up recruiting in the SW where he had to establish recruiting connection.

Keep that hope alive herby. There has been nothing official on espn that stoops is going to take the job at OU. There's still a chance :D

trolling? i doubt it the Stoops hater got their wish. Now Oklahoma now needs a DC and all the speculation of him going there just got easier, no coach got fired to make room for him

Stoops was officially announced, by the University of Oklahoma as well as most national media outlets, to be rejoining Bob over a week ago.

It might help if you do some research OUTSIDE of HN to get info, you're making an *** out of yourself right now.
 
a week ago there was no mention by the OU Officials that Mike Stoops was hired. and at that time there was no position open for him to be hired.
i am not making a *** out of myself it is you that is the ***, ESPN and other people were throwing this against the wall hoping it would stick.
also on the OU board were calling it BS, they hoped it would come true but they were taking a wait and see approach. there is now a position open on the OU staff
and i just left the OU board and read the whole story and now they are talking about 3 recruits that Venables was the main recruiter for as they might change their mind
so yeah i do read the OU board. as i try to keep up on where Mike Stoops ends up, now that he going to OU. that leaves Iowa with the possibility of Parker, which i feel is not happening with the posting being extended, Bradley getting a serious look as they maybe waiting for more info from PSU, or it is going to be a NFL coach
 
before anybody come off with "I hate Parker" i don't hate him the only thing i have against him je bring nothing new to the table in ideas or recruiting areas. he might be a good DC i have no clue, i just wanted a fresh face on the staff, bring new contact area's for recruits to be looked at
