Vegas doesn't have Nebraska or Minnesota.
They have Iowa #8 overall, and a #2 seed.
Wisconsin is a 3, Michigan and Ohio State are 4, Michigan State is a 5

Vegas seems to know more about sports than anyone else.
But I saw Wisconsin beat Iowa twice.
No idea how Tennessee is a so-called 7-seed. Other than the Virginia win, fans in Tennessee want to fire Cuonzo Martin, and bring back Bruce Pearl.

Creighton is good. Just don't see a deep run in the NCAA tournament.
Vegas is right about Virginia. Leading the ACC and playing solid basketball.

Florida is the only unanimous #1 seed according to all 3 rating services listed.

Edit - Duke, Louisville, Arizona and Kansas are unanimous 2 seeds (or higher).

I think all 5 of these teams are legitimate top 8 teams.

So guess this means that we put money on IOWA to win all the way to elite 8?

As this means Vegas sees IOWA as having greater chance to win than all but 7 teams?

I have money on Iowa to win it all at 60-1...made that wager in early September. I will just sit tight with this bet.

"...I have money on Iowa to win it all at 60-1...made that wager in early September. I will just sit tight with this bet."

Iowa chances to win as per team rankings are n ow 5.2%, down from 6%.
Only Az, Duke,KS and Louisville are higher, but Iowa is tied with Nova, Wisky, Sparty (we seen them) Creighton and fading AZ.

I like your wager....

Iowa at a 2 seed????? They will really have to win the rest of their regular season games and the Big Ten Tournament to have a chance. Even then, we might still get a 3 seed for those efforts.

This is if Vegas made the brackets and it's based off head to head match ups on a neutral court. Basically saying they favor 7 teams over us against the spread. We won't sniff a 2 seed....

Vegas doesn't use the Analog Parents (AP poll) or the RIP Committee Poll to guide their decisions, rather, they use The Vegas:

'We Want to Make Money at Expense of those Who Foolishly Bet Money Based on the Misleading, Erroneously, and Antiquated NCAA Tourney Brackets' strategy'

Iowa is now 35-1 to win it all per Vegas Insider. It's not that I think Iowa will win it all. I liked the odds for a team that I think is talented enough to win it all if they get hot an tourney time.

It's the same reason I bet the KC Chiefs at 30-1. I didn't think they would win it all but I thought they would make the playoffs...and hoped they would get hot. I had the Arizona Cardinals at 75-1 the year they lost to Pittsburgh in the Super Bowl. They did get hot in the playoffs.

Some years I won't bet anyone. Other years I bet 4 or 5 teams in various sports. It's all about the odds for me. Before I started making futures bets I missed on Z. Johnson at 40-1 the year he won the Masters and the St. Louis Rams at 200-1 the year they won the Super Bowl.

Sorry. I got off on a bit of a tangent there.

Iowa opened as a 2 point favorite for tonight. They are currently 3 or 3.5 point favorites depending on the Sports Book.

Not a lot. I'm not looking to get rich. I just want to have some fun with futures bets...go to Vegas once a year with my buddies. I won't bet anyone at less than 20-1.

Even a $10 bet has good return value. Plus should iowa make a deep run you have the option to hedge your bet to guarantee money. I love it.

Vegas has loved Iowa all year. So it does not surprise me that they are they are the 8 overall seed. I am blocked from gambling sites at work, but I believe Iowa is 16-8 ATS or something like that (a few games did not have a line in Vegas).

15-9, but we are 6-1 in road games and 14-5 last 19 in big 10

Minnesota likely won't make it to 20 wins and they've lost 7 of their last 10 (8 of 11 after we beat em tonight).

They don't deserve to be in.

Nebraska is now with Minnesota in the 40s for RPI. They are hot and have a favorable schedule. I think a Husker fan should be feeling a lot better about their chances than a Gopher fan IMO.

Team rankings also has Iowa as slight favorite to win BTT, edging MSU and Wisky.
22.1% to 22%, 20.1%.

MICH still appears to be poor front runner of as their chances are 16.% to win.
