So well more than likely play at least 13 games this year. That being said what do we think about our boy jvb's stats after 13.

I think its reasonable and I would like to see around 3,400 yards, 33/7. Now he is on pace to do better than this year and i think he can but we aren't in conference play yet.

I originally had predicted: 24TD 9INT 61%Completion 2875 yards.

He's ahead of that pace right now by quite a bit but we'll have to see how he settles into the B1G schedule. Based on what I've seen i'd revise my numbers to 3000+ yards 30TD and leave the INTs at 9.

4 games = 1095 yards. 10 TD's/1 int. 8 regular season games left. 2,000(250 avg PG) 2.5 TD's PG to 30 TD's.

Couple of TD's this weekend....Then, Indiana and Minnesota (maybe Purdue) could be 300+ yards and 3-4TD's each. Northwestern and Michigan will probably be high scoring games.
20 TD's in remaining 8 games possible. 3,000 yards probable. A lot is going to depend on the weather.

220 passing yards per game the rest of the way (9 games), puts him about 3050
I think he's beat Chuck Long's 27 passing TD mark for a season, too.

I was way off I predicted 2200 yds. passing, 15 TD(s) 10 Int(s).....However my prediction was based on Coker's role/production. Which isn't what I thought it would be.

he certainly seems more than capable of setting some near records this year, but there are sooo many factors at play. i highly doubt we'll be chucking the ball around as much in big 10 play if we start to have more success in the running game. if not, maybe he will end up with his name in the record books, but more out of necessity than anything.

where can you find the season and career records, is there a link on this site? what is the season record, didn't Long throw for close to 4000 back in the day?

Hartlieb has the season record with just over 3700. Long's season best was 3300. Was kind of fun looking thru all those stats. Its going to be a long, long time till someone breaks Long's career record of over 10,000 passing yards!

Iowa's running game is going to take off more. I'd predict about 2 passing TDs and 2 rushing 2 TDs on average from here on out.

That would put Vandenberg at around 28 TD passes. That sounds about right to me. I'd also probably put him at around 3000-3100 passing yards on the season.

Of course, all of the above assumes that he remains adequately healthy.

One game at a time, but I predict at the end of the year it will be hard for any of the HN neysayers (spelling, too uncaring to look up) to say he isn't a good qb. His senior year, I predict his stats will be phenominal. book it dano
