According to 247 sports both guys are trending towards UW.

Looks like (S) Scott Nelson was at UW for the big Nebby Win.

Amazing how fast recruiting momentum can turn. The spiral continues...

It's not just recruiting momentum....it's program momentum in general. How we managed to piss away a 12-2 season with all of the returning starters we had back and all of the tough games at home is beyond me. Couple that with a complete loss of recruiting momentum and we're right back to 2014.....like 2015 never even happened!

What appears to be changing more so in recent time with many recruits (especially the more touted) is their growing emphasis on a program's short term trending pattern. Maybe less so with the elite programs as they have established a pattern of strong long term performance and can normally withstand a hiccup year with recruits but not so much with the Iowa's of the world. Some recruits change their mind now based on a single season's outlook with a program. The college sport itself has fueled some of this as well with programs moving coaches in and out more frequently......produce now or be gone. So recruits have to be asking themselves how long the current staff will stay intact as well. Can't rule out the role media plays in fueling this shorter term thinking as well.

In my opinion there was generally more patience exhibited by recruits in the past.

I don't put a lot of stock in the 247 crystal ball predictions. They seem to change with the wind.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised to see them end up in Madison. That's a heck of a defense.

And Wisky's defense looks a helluva lot more fun to play than ours does!

I am not surprised by this. Van Ginkel fits their defense very well. Their D has been one of the best the past few years. They have had numerous injuries on that side of the ball as well and it doesn't seem to stop them. Must be nice

Scheme. They turn their kids loose and let them be the aggressor

Agreed. 247's crystal ball still has us as the leaders with Eno at 67% and only 7% for four other teams.

Unfortunately its not Eno's call as he stated. Why can't we move forward instead of backwards. Lock the kid back up its obvious he still wants to be a Hawkeye.

Yeah, I don't get that. It's like Kirk is the father and has disowned his 17 year old son for not totally being honest. He sounds like a good kid overall so loosen your britches a little bit Kirk.
