Uthoff to Iowa: How did it Happen? Impact?

I didnt think it would happen, back when he left Wisconsin. I was also not up to speed on the Big Ten's new and more relaxed rules against in league transfers

Wowzaa things with wisconskin are gonna be crazy. Beating them twice this year and now this.....I love it. GO Hawks Go Fran

The story says he will "walk on" at Iowa in the fall. What does that mean? Can he practice with the team? Meet with the players and coaches? Travel with the team? Use the S&C program and facilities? I thought he had to sit a year, so I am assuming he could not play in any games this year?

This officially surpasses the Bruce Pearl-Deon Thomas episode from almost 25 years ago. Now welcoming to the stage at least 20 years of enmity between the Wisconsin and Iowa basketball programs.

I dont think he can have any contact with the program this summer, up until the fall semester begins. And he has to pay his own way this year. So he is a walk on

I'm talking when formal practices begin in the fall. What can/can't he do? He's paying his own way and not on scholarship, but do Wisconsin's conditions (or the NCAA) restrict him from practicing, playing, traveling?

Hey just a question. I heard this somewhere, and I'm not sure if it's true.

Does Uthoff have the option to pay a year and lose a year or lose 2 years?

I don't believe that's true, just something I heard.

I have to assume you weren't around (or at least not old enough to understand) then. It's not even close.
