Exactly what I saw. This kid can dominate and take over games in more ways than people know. He deferred to marble and white and others when he was the best all around player. Don't be surprised if many feel he is the best player on the team this yr.

The players have all been saying the right things - Uthoff - I need to be more assertive, Clemmons - I didn't work hard enough last year, this year I'll be different, White - I need to be more aggressive on offense, Olesani - My outside game is better, and I'll be ready to play at forward next year.

If it all comes true, then I think this coming season will be better than last year. Looking forward to watching it play out.

If he has gotten stronger in the lower body where he can play through contact, then I'll buy the "take over games" stuff. He has a unique skill set, no disputing that, and he can shoot from anywhere, but guys come out to guard you and you have to go strong to the hole. If I see that type of physical play, we are going to be tough to stop offensively. Get Jok off the moped, and we have shooters everywhere.

I am with you, I think Uthoff and Jok are both sleeping monsters that very well could be some of the best players in the past 20 years to wear the black n gold.

It's been more than talk in these two cases. Olaseni has been showing off a nice mid-range jumper that will make him a matchup nightmare on the offensive end, and Clemmons showed up in much better shape than he's been in since before he got on campus as a freshman. He's definitely been putting in the work this offseason.

White and Uthoff might live up to their words, but their performances in PTL can't really be used as evidence. They drop 25 a night because the competition is nowhere near B1G level.

Talk is cheap, but it's the off-season, that's all there is. It sounds to me like guys are gearing up to embrace new roles on the team. "Talk is cheap" and "I'll believe it when I see it" is basically saying, "I don't believe what these guys are saying and they'll likely fall on their faces this season". Everything that is said needs to be taken at face value, but everyone has to prove it eventually. I'd rather I hear it from the players themselves that they understand their short comings and are working at goals to be better next season.
