So, foxsports.com is saying its a done deal for Pete Carroll to the Seahawks. What a great gig opening up there in SoCal. Who do you guys think gets the gig? And how long before some gomer starts a rumor that Kirk is interested?

Ever since Gruden's been out with the Bucs I've been hearing that he's not interested in the recruiting aspects of college football...I don't think he'd want it. Yesterday on ESPN they were saying that USC would go after Mike Riley, of Oregon State.

Edit: And if Petey is getting out of town ahead of the posse, I doubt Gruden would want to enter into a situation like that, if the hammer's coming down soon.

even if the NCAA takes away some schollies, you have a great young QB and five stars at every position. i really doubt that the NCAA will do any more than that. still an incredible gig. like a pro team, in every way!

Former USC player who is probably on the hot seat for a bankrupt NFL franchise heading into next season -- that's my pick.

I don't think Riley will take the job because he already turned it down before Carroll took it. Now you're asking him to replace a legend with possible NCAA violations looming.

Jeff Fisher wouldn't surprise me, but I think there's a better chance they'd get Del Rio.

Gruden is a huge Domer. If he wasn't interested in that job, he's not interested in this one. Plus, the dude is pulling down multimillions working about day a week. Not a hard choice for Chucky.

Kirk to USC?? Ha Ha!! That is hysterical. Talk about a fish out of water. Kirk is an Iowa guy, maybe a Pittsburgh Steelers or Cleveland Browns type of guy. He is not a USC or Dallas Cowboys type of guy.
