US vs Brazil

It looked like Buehler had beaten Marta to the ball regardless. Such Bs. Marta reminds me of the Ohio St. point guard who's name escapes me at the moment.

Is anyone watching this? Some REALLY bad reffing just cost the US the game, most likely.

Yeah, was watching with my boys, but turned to professional wrestling to see a sport that is less rigged (joking about the less). This is why I just can't get into this sport. It is probably the most corrupt international sport there is (with a nod to the Russian controlled international wrestling) and this US vs. Brazil match is the epitome of everything that is wrong with the sport. Every time I want to get into it and watch a high profile match, it always comes down to some unseen entity dictating the outcome via some decisions that defy logic. It happens all the time - not just in US matches, I'm not a homer. Just go back and watch highlights of the most recent men's World Cup and you'll see some matches that were just plain wrong.

It's very unfortunate and it keeps me tuning out. You do see it in other international sporting events, just not to this level. Even basketball has some refs from the European League that referee it like it is a Euro match-up, i.e., where the refs can pretty much make up rules unquestioned. But futbol is the worst by a large margin.

And they miss an OBVIOUS offside call that immediately lead to the leading goal. This is starting to really irritate me.

U.S. Just hasn't got any lucky breaks all tourney. Given up fluke goals and they've hit the post 20 times. Just missed from Abby there. Jeesh

This is effing ridiculous. Brazil just had a girl go down on a stretcher and once she got off the field she got off of it and ran back onto the field. So lame.
