With a win at FIFA-ranked #13 Bosnia Herzegovina today, the US national team has now won 12 games in a row without a tie.

This is the longest current streak in the world, has included victories over Germany and the Gold Cup Final and is 3 wins shy of the all-time record owned by Spain from 2006-2009.

Yeah, I watched it live and wrote us off at halftime too, but kept the tv on while I was checking the bball score on twitter. What a game. This team has the "it" factor. I've never seen a team I cheer for play like this before. Maybe 1987 Iowa bball? 2002 football? 2003 Cubs?

Incredible.

I woulda bet the farm and all future earnings we wouldn't come back after I saw the score. Crazy and very p!ssed i didnt see it. Saw the goals... holy cow Jozy with some amazing touches

Did we mention that we came back from a 0-2 deficit to one of the top European teams at their place without Clint Dempsey and Landon Donovan?

How in the hell am I going to sleep tonight?

"top European teams?" Give me a break, for the love of god, roll on the floor laughing, this is ridiculous, get over yourselves.

Fantastic match.

Altidore (obviously) and Bradley both looked excellent. I think that Johannson has a bright future with the national team as well.
I'd love to know what Klinsmann said to the team at the half to inspire that kind of performance.

While some may dispute Bosnia being a top European team you still have to keep in mind that they hadn't lost at home since 2008 (at least I believe that's what Twellman said during the match).

Sigh. When stupid people bring rocks to knife fights.

Bosnia Herzegovina is currently the highest performing team in UEFA World Cup Qualifying. They have the most points in Europe. They have the highest goal differential in Europe. An argument can be made that over the course of the last year, they have played better than anyone in Europe.

BH is the descendent of the Yugoslavian national team, which has had periods of being one of the best national teams in the world. It's a proud soccer power, and it has only played better a handful of times in its history.

They are ranked #13 by FIFA, which everyone admits is a flawed ranking system. By the Soccer Power Index, which everyone agrees is the truest and best ranking system, they are ranked #9 in the world, ahead of England, France, Italy, Belgium (who has also been playing lights-out) and Portugal.

A) You are not smart. B) What a win.

Yeah, a team that has never participated in the World Cup, or even the European Championships is a real superpower. Thanks for the fanboy rundown of why the team that just lost an INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLY is suddenly the greatest team ever assembled. These International Friendly games are spectacles where Haiti is the equal of Italy, the rankings just reminded us that Brazil is the 9th best team in the world a month after demolishing the best team in the world. I am sure the other former Yugoslavian countries are happy when you count Yugoslavia's triumphs as being those of Bosnia and Herzegovina, they like it a lot when people do things like that.

a) They've only been around since 1992.

b) How is the past relevant?

c) I said a "top European team" (which they are). I didn't say anything about greatest team ever assembled.

d) You're welcome for the fanboy rundown. I hope you learned something.

e) Brazil is ranked #1 in the SPI, which is the only ranking that matters. BH is ranked #9.
