They fall to Michigan on Saturday and after their bowl game he leaves due to health issues. Two years later he'll be back coaching at another school until health issues once again force him to leave.
Naaah, 2 years from now he is coaching in the NFL. Dallas, New England, or whoever and he will get a shitload of money and be miraculously cured of "exhaustion".
He could never handle the stress of an nfl job. He’s like a fan on the sidelines living and dying on every play.
Maybe. He's a college czar. College czars have a long, long history of not being able to cut it in professional coaching. You give up a lot of control in exchange for not having to worry about recruiting or petty rules which the Urbs of the world either stretch to the limit or ignore anyway.Agree to disagree. It may be short lived, but I really think he is going to the NFL. It is the perfect place for him to "relax". He doesn't have to be responsible for what his players and assistant coaches do off the field. He just needs to have a quarterback to win football games with.

You have to be able to roll with the punches in trying times, like Brad Stevens, or hang loose in tough circumstances. Not many tight sphinctered, control freaks are able to do that.
Maybe he would be Pete Carroll or Jim Harbaugh or Tom Coughlin, who have had some NFL success. If Tampa Bay or Arizona comes calling and they give him what he wants I think he would take it after he got some "rest". He is a football coach at heart. I don't think there is another college job that would be enticing to him. The OSU job did that for him, fulfilled him at the college level. At this point the only way that itch gets cured is by coaching in the NFL.
Urban would be a terrible NFL coach. He can't win without superior running QBs, and oppressive talent superiority. You can get that in college, because there isn't a lottery or parity driven draft system. But the NFL is largely good against good.

Many more have been Dave Wannstedt/Nick Saban types. Or were smart enough to stay away from the pros in the first place.
Jerry Jones is well overdue to replace a coach. You could very well be right. But it wouldn't shock me if the NFL came calling and gave him a offer that he couldn't refuse. I just don't think the USC, LSU or Florida St. jobs would do it for him at this point in his career.
He could take over the Steelers when Tomlin retires. So he takes the LSU or Florida St. job in 2 years? The end game being what? To trump what Saban has done at Alabama?
Oh heck no!He could take over the Steelers when Tomlin retires.
All of the sudden Brohm has to beat his crosstate rival to be bowl eligible, which Indiana will be trying to do as well.Brohm will end up in the NFL before Meyer.
T Boone Pickens will be calling. They fall to Michigan on Saturday and after their bowl game he leaves due to health issues. Two years later he'll be back coaching at another school until health issues once again force him to leave.
Byron Leftwich will get the AZ job when it opens up.If Tampa Bay or Arizona comes calling and they give him what he wants I think he would take it after he got some "rest".
