Update on the Norm chant

Not that we need another thread but didn't see this in any of the threads and thought I would point it out since the email is from the U of I.

Here's what the email said that I got this afternoon:

NORM!
Fans of the Hawkeyes are encouraged to chant "Norm!" when the VISITING TEAM breaks its huddle on FIRST DOWN Saturday in support of the recovery and rehabilitation efforts of Norm Parker, the well-respected and beloved defensive coordinator for the Hawkeyes. Shout it loud!


I don't know if the FIRST DOWN is a mistake or not just thought I would pass it along because it came from the U of I.

I think doing this on first down is better anyways. I like the idea but i think having everyone yelling on 3rd down would help the team more then a chant on 3rd down.

Agreed, I like the idea on first down.

I HATE the idea on third downs. Doing it on 3rd downs is almost an advantage to Wisconsin.
