I've always wondered about this type of hire and what would happen this day in age of college football when recruiting is so huge. We'll see i guess...

The guy played college football and was on a college staff. So I guess he at least knows the ins and out somewhat......but YIKES, going from HS to a D1 program is a HUGE jump.

Notre Dame tried it with Gerry Faust, to try to continue a pipeline from the high school where he was coaching and he was a miserable failure. It took Lou Holtz's cheating to fix what he broke.

yep, hes already in Iowa City and his son is a Hawkeye commit . Marv Cook has 5 straight state titles won 56 straight games and went 85-5 over the past 5 years. If we can't get him as head coach KF should get him on staff somehow.

It's important to note that Bishop Gorman is not exactly a run of the mill high school. Sanchez goes to UNLV with experience recruiting on a national level even if only to a high school. BG has a bunch of players in multiple sports that were recruited from all over the nation.

Pretty sure we can all agree that jumper5 is a terrible poster and has no knowledge when it comes to recruiting.

I kid, obviously. I'll trust jumper over anyone on this site on recruiting.
