Unfreakingbelievable

Minny looks good. They know how weak the Iowa D is and they are confident and have nothing to lose.

Dont be surprised to see Minny play even better in the second half and the Hawks **** another road game down their legs.

Its not unbelievable. We have what are turning out to be the worst off/def cordinators combos in the country these days people everything that happened in 09 was 09 this 2011. Just so people know the recipe is out on how to beat Iowa and their coaching staff doesnt change anythying to disrupt this stuck in their ways and its gonna cost them. Now I cant wait for all these peope to come on here and make excuses for them and act like everything is ok. ready set go !!!

jesus christ...the same thing over and over and over. This guy never learns...will never change...and is more predictable than the sunrise.

I've had enough of the "Kirk Ferentz is a great football coach" myth.

Or this is a typical missed opportunities game. When you dominate offensively and cant score thats not coaching. The coaches are feeding the hot hand who is currently Coker. Its pathetic our offense/kicking game cannot put up points right now.

We really outplayed them in the first half. We screwed up twice in the red-zone, and blew coverage. That's why its 7-7. Game should be somewhere between 13-21 points for Iowa, 0 Minnesota.

Another nomination for quote of the day........ +1

Sadly full of truth when considering KF is 15-17 vs USA Today top 25 teams since 2001!!!

I'd like to see how everyone else is against t25 teams. I'm gonna guess that no one is very good against the best teams!

Ok, deeeeep breath.........I'm gonna assume we will come the second half and just roll it up on em. If not, I will be back to **** and moan with ya'll.:D

Are their many coaches above .500 against top 25 teams?

I'd like to see that stat...very curious

Norm's defense can't stop a good high school team.

Don't blitz Norm...only bad things happen. Instead use a four-man rush that can't penetrate a high school offensive line (but continue to stick your head in the sand thinking they can), put absolutely no pressure on the QB, and let the QB get very very comfortable in the pocket. And on top of that, don't tackle...Ohhh, but watch the opposing defense blitz and be successful but keep your head in the sand...

With Iowa's defense this year only bad things happen when Iowa does not do anything different.

Time for Norm to call it day, retire, and sit at home and drink a beer. Football has passed this guy by...

I also think Iowa's coaches wrote seven plays on their sleeve and left the playbook at home. Who needs a playbook when you run the same seven plays all game against a defense that is one of the poorest in the country and that team KNOWS what seven plays you are going to run.

Norm's famous bend and break defense and hope like he!! that the opposing team makes mistakes.

Scouting Iowa must be the easiest job in the country. Just take any gamefilm of the past 11 years and you can prepare for Iowa.

Now that KF and staff are playing not to lose again, they will probably take three or four of those plays and just use three or four plays the rest of the game.

When you play scared on the road...you will typically lose and Iowa is a horrible road team.

We better hope we win today because this will probably be the only game Iowa will/can win the rest of the season. With games against NE, Purdue, and Mich on the road...I think it is pretty safe to say this team will lose at least three out of their last four games and with this defense, MSU will beat Iowa at home.

Michigan is going to put a huge knot on Iowa next week...but KF will tell everyone that Iowa HAS to play ultra conservative because we might make a mistake. In the meantime, Michigan is going to put up 600 yards on this defense. Game over before halftime.

A .500 record against Top 25 is probably pretty good.

It's the below .500 against the likes of NW, ISU, and Indiana, and now several years of struggles against Minnesota, that are truly worrisome.

Totally agree. This defense that can't stop Minn has given up a bunch of yards....~160

Bob Stoops is 42-17
Les Miles is 23-13
Mark Richt is 28-22
Mack Brown is 30-22
Gary Patterson 11-7
