I watched the under armour all star game on saturday and they were rolling top recruits on the bottom of the screen and santreal (or however you spell it) didn't list iowa as one of his five choices. I think they were ohio state, usc, oklahoma, florida, and maybe minny. not sure about minny but i remember the other four for sure. didn't see him play as I was flipping back and forth with the bowl game. don't really care, I guess, as he obviously is going elsewhere. KF probably just go ahead and make all americans out of riley rieff, dan doering, and the rest of the 2 to 3 star OL he's recruited anyway.

Wasn't Doering a 5 star who is graduating this year who saw very little playing time?

Uh Dan Doering was a 5* recruit and is done after the rose bowl. Reiff was a 3/4 star recruit.

Seantrel de-listed Iowa MONTHS ago chief. I think Doering was a 4 star but nevertheless he was the top lineman out of Illinois that year. We'll be fine without Seantrel but we'd be better with him.

Doering was not the top recruit in the nation. SH is the number one rated player, regardless of position.

The point is there are no guaranteed stars. particularly in the OL. Doering and Blake Larson were both 5 star busts in the KF era. We will be good with or without Seantrel, but would be fun to have him.

Much like Harrison Barnes, Seantrel didn't officially visit Iowa due to the close proximity to his home state...they only listed the teams he officially visited. Not saying Iowa has a shot, but SH has a final 6 and Iowa is in it...but it doesn't matter, if you're not in his final 1.

sorry. didn't mean doering, mean't the kid from decorah whose name slips my mind. and yes this site has just enabled me to follow recruiting totally in oct. the register doesn't cut it. got more to do than sit in front of the computer. but this site is great.
