OK, Hawk fans -- let's show our support for a great Hawkeye and his family who are going through a very tough time. Let's WEAR GREEN FOR GREENWOOD at the ULM game. Imagine how much it would mean to Brett and his family to see Kinnick in GREEN in his honor.

LET'S DO THIS! Please spread the word on your Facebook page, Twitter, e-mail, or by simple word of mouth. We don't need the U of I to take the lead. Let's just do it ourselves.

Official? Is the UI Athletic Dept doing this or is this official because oniowa30 says so? :)
 
Its up to you if you want to show your support for a great hawkeye family. You don't have too but it would be an uplifting moment for the family.

I don't understand how you don't think this relates to hawkeye football?. You do know he attended the University of Iowa, right? You know he played on the FOOTBALL team right? We all got the pleasure to watch Greenwood grow into a star at the University of Iowa. I think the color green is a pretty obvious color choice to support a GREAT hawkeye. You can call it un-related, I think its common sense. Wearing the #30 and all sounds nice, hopefully greenwood can spot all those #30 jerseys on T.V.

Can part of the money be donated to Greenwood you think?
Or would I get in trouble, should be fine if he is no longer a student athlete. I would imagine he has bills to pay now and no big NFL contract.

Nothing personal, I just think it will turn out like the "norm chant' last year.

Which was another incredibly stupid/unorganized idea.

Greenwood has been in my thoughts and prayers for sure though
 
Awesome i'll spread the word. Maybe contact the U of I? or somehow get a hold of the Greenwood family. I would be amazed if the University of Iowa had a problem with this.

You can be, but Green wasn't related to IA football when the student section all decided to officially wear green to recognize Greene a few years back. I think it's a great idea and am sure he'd appreciate the support.
 
However, I do need to think the university needs to get on board or it will infact turn out like the Norm cheer did last year, which was a good idea but could have played out much better.
 
People like you are the root cause if this doesn't work out. If you don't want to wear green fine, do us a favor though and help spread the word..
 
This is an awesome idea, but if it is to succeed, the University would need to get behind it, and the sooner the better. Otherwise it will turn into the debacle that the aforementioned "Norm!" was.
