it was pretty obvious that this wasn't an iowa guy giving this interview when i got to the first questions (condescending to iowa....) but nice answer by ulis: (i.e. the only reason you are with iowa is that they were the first to offer you - they bring nothing else to the table)
Is that a reason why you are considering Iowa – that they you have been involved with them for a long time?

Tyler seems like a cool customer for a 17 yr old who has all kinds of fans/coaches coming at him. I think he has a good head, like a solid floor general should have...and hopefully, he continues to take a long vision....glad that Margaret got to feed him breakfast,maybe?
Very good example of how people can make the difference and overcome many obstacles when it comes to recruiting. For Iowa to be in the final 3 with Kentucky and MSU is a testament to our basketball coach and his abilities on the recruiting front.

I must be crazy, but after reading that I kind of like our chances. He loves Fran, and he loves the feeling of family he gets from the team. Those are two things Kentucky and MSU don't have IMHO.

I still like the fact that Tyler always brings up his relationship with Fran. He has consistently stated that the relationship with the coaching staff will be a major factor in his decision, and from multiple articles it appears that he may have the best relationship with Fran.

Yes, 100%. If I were Tyler, I would be sick by the time I was done answering that nerd's lousy questions.
I would have liked to have heard the way he asked it too. I bet it sounded worse then the way it reads. I don't think it's because I'm looking for it when I see something like this but clearly this was a guy rooting for KY to land him.

No, I just like Coach (Fran) McCaffery and the team and what he’s about. That’s why I’m still looking at them.
I think, because he didn't acknowledge it here, was that yes Fran being on him first factors and answered it this way tells me it was a snarky way to have asked him that question and it rubbed him wrong. So this was his knee jerk reaction to it to defend Fran. Because later in the interview it came up again and he did acknowledge it was a factor witch how couldn't it be it only makes sense to a degree. Now is it the end all be all time will tell.
It was just one Q after another about KY at the end. Alot of kids during interviews are pretty short with their answers and so was he in this. So it's hard to read too much into that. The biggest thing I take from this is that he's sort of set a time frame for when he'll decide and he stuck up for Iowa and Fran in that interview.
