Super Bowl Player To Get Key To Oskaloosa - Des Moines News Story - KCCI Des Moines

OSKALOOSA, Iowa -- An Iowa native and NFL player who recently received a key to the city of New York as a member of the Super Bowl champion Giants will receive the same honor in his home town.

Former Hawkeye, Tyler Sash, will receive the key to the city of Oskaloosa on March 25, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the Penn Activity Center.
During the event, the celebration of youth, family, community, and character will climax with Mayor Dave Krutzfeldt presenting Sash with the key to the city.

Nice gesture on the part of Oskaloosa...they should be proud of Sash. On the other hand, it is kind of funny to get the key to the city when NYC gave you the key. Of course, in Oskaloosa, everyone but everyone will know Sash, whereas in NYC only a few...Of course the few in NYC will easily outnumber Oskaloosa, but at least everyone in Oskaloosa will know him personally...
